Welcome to Iambic

Iambic - Zine, Show, & Podcast

Iambic is a literary journal that has evolved into a Show and a Podcast. I am the host and founder of I-AM-BIC, CharRon Resolution. I am starting this blog to move some information over www.reswonderland.com/Iambic so, it can have its own identity from my website.  Iambic evolution has started to make a different move from what it was 3 years ago.

Literary Journal

On April 2017, Iambic was created as a Literary tour guide into Sacramento's Poetry Community.  Since Sacramento poetry community was large but scattered, I created Iambic to give patrons a guide to find all the venues, events, and people in the area.  It was made into a zine, so it could be useful and accessible. It contained a Event Calendar, Meet the host section, Sac Slam Section, and various poems. You can check my archive at Sacramento Central Library in the Zine Library section.

Poetry Show

In January 2019, I became the new host of Monday poetry readings at Sacramento Poetry Center. My show was on the first Monday of the month.  I would bring on featured poets and have an open mic available for poets in the crowd. This is my first year Anniversary. I am excited on the new ideas that I am going to use now. If you want to be part of the Show, then on the First Monday of the month at 7:30pm to Sacramento Poetry Center, 1719 25th Street, Sacramento, CA 95816.  Also check out other events: www.sacramentopoetrycenter.com

Podcast

In January 2020, I started a podcast on Podbean (www.podbean.com). I wanted to give some spotlight to my feature poets that have come on to my Poetry Show. So, I saw it as an opportunity to sit down and talk poetry and get some insight on their endeavors.  I have already created Three episodes so far. If you want to check it out, go to iambic.podbean.com
Here is: Iambic Trailer

Overall

There is a lot to unpack. This is just sample of what to expect on Iambic and what the Sacramento poetry community means to me and Sacramento. If you want to be a feature on Iambic, sent email to: iambiczine@gmail.com. Hope to see you at the next event or open mics.
